Patrick’s story
Hi, I’m Patrick, and I bring to students a message of hope, faith, and perseverance built upon life experience. While incarcerated, I made a decision: my past would not disqualify my purpose. Upon my release I went back to school with urgency, eventually earning two degrees, and began a career with a multi-billion-dollar global luxury car manufacturer—one of those degrees fully funded by my employer. In 2022, I received a full pardon, confirming the transformation already underway in my life.
A part of what changed everything wasn’t just opportunity—it was STEM. Science, technology, engineering, and math gave me the tools to solve problems, think critically, and build a future I could be proud of. STEM is more than formulas; it’s a pathway to options, income, and ownership—especially for students who’ve been told they don’t belong.
Today I speak to students, educators, and communities across the country with one mission: help young people rise above their circumstances and step into their calling with integrity, ownership, and excellence. In my talks and workshops, I connect STEM to real life—coding to creativity, robotics to meaningful careers, advanced manufacturing to generational stability—so students can see themselves in the solutions we all need.
My story has already saved lives. A student once told me, “I was planning to run away today… but after hearing what you said, I’ve changed my mind.” That’s why I do this work. Your past is a chapter, not the whole book—and STEM can help write the next one.
